    This is a rare May 31st, 1943 program (playbill) from the one-week,
    National Tour engagement of the NOEL COWARD comedy "PRIVATE LIVES" at the Nixon Theatre in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (The Original Broadway production opened January 27th, 1931 at New York's Times Square Theatre and ran for 256 performances.) ..... The play starred RUTH CHATTERTON as "Amanda" and RALPH FORBES as "Elyot" and featured DORA SAYERS, JOHN GROGAN and LILLIAN UDVARDY .....     ..... DETAILS: The four page playbill measures 5 1/4" X 8 1/4" inches and includes production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos or bios. The front cover features ZASU PITTS who would be starring in "The Bat" the following week at the Nixon Theatre ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a small surface abrasion inside near the top seam and light creasing, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
