This is a rare March 28th, 1949 broadside (single page playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the GEORGE BERNARD SHAW classic "MAN AND SUPERMAN" at the Curran Theatre in San Francisco, California. (The revival opened October 8th, 1947 at New York's Alvin Theatre, transferred to the Hudson Theatre on February 16th, 1948 and ran for 295 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred MAURICE EVANS and featured MALCOLM KEEN, DOROTHY EATON, CHESTER STRATTON, FRANCES ROWE, JOSEPHINE BROWN, PHOEBE MACKAY, NAN McFARLAND, MORTON DaCOSTA, JAMES DALY and VICTOR SUTHERLAND ..... CONDITION: With the exception of moderate creasing, this rare playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
