This is a rare February 10th, 1947 playbill from the Original Broadway production of the SEAN O'CASEY play "POUND ON DEMAND" performed in repertory with the BERNARD SHAW play "ANDROCLES AND THE LION" at New York's International Theatre. (The productions opened December 19th, 1946 and closed February 22nd, 1947 after forty performances.) ....."POUND ON DEMAND"

..... DETAILS: The 44 page playbill measures 6 1/2" X 9" inches and includes full production credits, cast lists, synopsis of scenes and individual photos and bios of each of the leading actors. Also includes the credits for the remaining productions in the season's repertoire: William Shakespeare's "Henry VIII", J. M. Barrie's "What Every Woman Knows" and Henrik Ibsen's "John Gabriel Borkman" ..... CONDITION: (Please Note!) There are seam splits at both the top and bottom, several tiny tears to the outside edge of the cover, the titles are written at the top of the front cover and there is moderate edge wear. Despite these flaws, this rare playbill will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
