This is a rare November 7th, 1946 "Playgoer" playbill from the three-night, Post-Broadway engagement of the EMMET LAVERY play "THE MAGNIFICENT YANKEE" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The production opened January 22nd, 1946 at the Royale Theatre in New York City and ran for 159 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred LOUIS CALHERN and featured SYLVIA FIELD, WILLIAM WEAVER, FLEMING WARD, CHRISTOPHER MARVIN, CARL SHELTON, ELEANOR SWAYNE, CHARLES ADAMS BAKER, NICHOLAS SAUNDERS, GRAY STAFFORD, ROBERT HEALY, RICHARD BOWLER, JEROME SHAW, BERNARD POLLOCK, EDWIN WHITNER and FRANCIS HANLEY .....
