This is a rare broadside (single page playbill) from the Post-Broadway engagement of the EMMET LAVERY play "THE MAGNIFICENT YANKEE" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts. (The production opened January 22nd, 1946 at the Royale Theatre in New York City and ran for 159 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred LOUIS CALHERN as "Oliver Wendell Holmes" and featured SYLVIA FIELD, WILLIAM WEAVER, FLEMING WARD, CHRISTOPHER MARVIN, CARL SHELTON, NICHOLAS SAUNDERS, ELEANOR SWAYNE, CHARLES ADAMS BAKER, GRAY STAFFORD, ROBERT HEALY, RICHARD BOWLER, JEROME SHAW, BERNARD POLLOCK, EDWIN WHITNER and FRANCIS HANLEY .....
