    Description

Welcome to this listing for a wonderful fold-out poster originally painted by Tim & Greg Hildebrandt depicting the Nazgul or Black Riders as they go tearing through the streets of Hobbiton in search of the Ringbearer!  The Hildebrandt brothers were famous for their interpretations of all things Tolkien and the Lord of the Rings book series.  Bold colors, striking figures give you a front row seat to the action taking place here as fear of the Dark Lord Sauron sends his evil minions forth into Middle Earth seeking The One Ring!  Unfolded, this poster measures 36 by 20 inches. Suitable for framing.  With the forthcoming Amazon Hobbit series, this would be a wonderful piece to display on your walls showing your fanship to the beloved Tolkien tale.  This poster is in excellent basically unused condition.  There are no dog-eared edges, no fingering marks, no creases other than the factory-made ones so it will fold up neatly.  There is slight evidence of being unfolded and refolded on the factory creases, but otherwise, no "extra" folds or creases.  I believe this was printed around the 1980's, but please don't quote me. The two brothers were well-known for their many illustrations, posters, calendars and book illustrations from the Lord of the Rings book series and I had the privilege of meeting them at a signing event many many years ago, but didn't have this piece with me to have them sign it.  The Hildebrandts were quite interesting in that they themselves along with friends and family, actually posed in costumes and worked from those images to create the compositions they were so well-known for.  I will ship this poster of the Nazgul in the U.S. only via First Class Mail in a record mailer box and I usually ship one day after cleared payment has been received.  Thank you for visiting this listing.  Namarie
