You are bidding on a great, vintage publication from MID-CENTURY Detroit culture. This Showbill from October 2-8, 1950 is from
    The DETROIT GRAND OPERA'S
    proud presentation of
    The PHILADELPHIA LA SCALA OPERA.
This 65+ year old stage bill is packed with some great documentation and some wonderful & graphical advertisements from that era.
IN ADDITION, attached to SIX internal pages are ORIGINAL TICKET STUBS to 6 of the performances this week, PLUS clipped NEWSPAPER REVIEWS that the original owner and patron of the Detroit Opera Company retrieved.  That Detroit resident was an avid Opera fanatic, and she not only attended performances constantly, but she also meticulously collected the reviews in the local Detroit newspapers and archived it all with the ticket stubs.  AWESOME and extremely rare collection of this ephemera.  This will make a fine addition to your collection.
    Lots of cool stuff here.

This Show Bill has some normal handling & storage wear all around.  Internally it is pretty clean, and everything is strong and holding together fine.  The binding is holding, with the staples having only mild oxidation. There are some scuffs, dirt, staining mostly on the outer covers.  Internal pages are quite clean.  The ticket stubs and Newspaper Clippings are all fine but STAPLED to 6 of the internal pages.  Please see the photographs for the best indication of condition.
If you need better scans or photos, feel free to contact me and tell me what you're interested in.  I'll do my best to get you the images.
