    Pictorial Inauguration Day postmarks dated January 20, 1989 were available from seven cities directly related to the new President or Vice-President or to the Federal Government.
    This cover is postmarked in
    Washington, DC.  The stamps used include the Washington Sesquicentennial stamp from 1950 depicting the Capitol Building, Scott 992.
    The cachet reproduces the invitation sent to donors to attend the inauguration as well as the seal of the inaugural committee. It is unsigned.
    The cover is in excellent condition.
