Description
This is a nice, almost crisp uncirculated,
"Hundert"
or 100 Kronen note from the
“Oesterreichisch-Ungarische”
or
"Austro-Hungarian"
Bank. It is from the first post-war issue of the Austrian Government.
It was authorized at Vienna and is dated January 2, 1922. The
“Oesterreichisch-Ungarische Bank”
was a central bank in which Imperial Austria and Royal Hungary were involved. It existed from 1878 to 1922 and served as the central bank for the unified currency of both halves of Austria-Hungary. In 1923 it became the
“Oesterreichische Nationalbank”.
