Description
This is an Austrian 1000 Kronen banknote from 1902. I think it might have the grey-rose underprint, but not really sure. It is series 1630 and serial #33982.One side has a red stamp "Deufschosterreich". It also has a small coat of arms for the Austro-Hungarian monarchy in the center. The right side has the image of a young female with flowers in her hair.
The other side has text in German and 8 other languages of the empire at the time. No red stamp on this side.
The banknote measures 7-1/2" wide x 5" high (192 x 128 mm) and is #N216628 in the Numista catalogue.
The note has 1 horizontal and 1 vertical fold with a tiny hole where the folds meet in the center, worn edges and age-related wear.
The note was issued by the Austro-Hungarian Bank, Austrian Empire, under the rule of Emperor Franz Joseph.
